Yesterday Google announced they completed Caffeine. Basically it’s their new search engine that is supposed to be 50% faster and 50% more relevant… I wonder how all these fake landing pages will do and all you SEO boys will deal with this. I’m sure we’ll see some stupid new Google SEO ebook and how to master it soon enough.

Google Bans White Teeth and Weight Loss

by Mike Guindon on Nov.23, 2009, under General

So I came across this post from TheBigMoney and it talks about how Google is changing its strategies and will now be banning the Advertisers that advertise “scammy” products/rebills instead of just pulling the ads themselves. This is actually old news but what was funny is how this person is talking about how bad those types of advertisements are and actually calls out Pulse360 and Adblade, yet at the bottom of their webpage I found this on EVERY SINGLE PAGE THEY HAVE……

I don’t know about you but I find that HILARIOUS and very ironic/hypocritical so I had to point it out. I guess he doesn’t view his post after it gets posted…. Nice.

Wow. AdMob has only been in existence since 2006 and here it is 2009 and they are being bought out for $750 million worth of stock. If only one of my ideas would take off like that…

“The deal will help Google in its efforts to develop more effective tools for creating, serving and analyzing emerging mobile ads formats. As this ecosystem continues to grow, the company expects these new marketing media to offer significant benefits:

  • Advertisers will be better able to engage mobile users with AdMob’s ad formats
  • Publishers and developers will be able to monetize their content more effectively, which has benefits for the wider mobile ecosystem
  • Users will see more relevant ads and ultimately get access to more ad-supported content and applications – improving their mobile experience

“Attracting the world’s top engineering talent and people with entrepreneurial vision to Google has always been crucial to our success. AdMob’s proven track record in innovating at speed will help maintain that culture  which is why we are so excited to be working with them,” added Vic Gundotra, Vice President of Engineering at Google.”
