by Mike Guindon on Jun.30, 2009, under Tools

I’ve recently discovered Google Sets…. It’s an awesome niche finder. Here’s how it works. You type in some basics, for ex. weight loss, diet, nutrition then click the button and it finds other related niches. For the example it gave me some more general niches but you get the idea. Plug in some of your niches and see what it comes up with, I guarantee it gives you some you didn’t think of. http://labs.google.com/sets

Pizzatorrent is DEAD!

by Mike Guindon on Jun.17, 2009, under News

It’s a sad day in the Bittorrent world….Pizzatorrent is dead. The owner decided to pull the plug, not because of legal threats, but because of retards that decide to constantly DDoS the site. I really hope he makes the code public, maybe it’s time to start up Toastertorrent! Read about it here: http://torrentfreak.com/pizzatorrent-grows-tired-of-attacks-and-shuts-down-090616/

Yup , I decided to take a few days off. Working 8-5 Mon – Fri and doing AM is taking a toll on me so I decided to goto CedarPoint this past weekend. Incase you’ve never heard of it, it’s only been voted the best Focking Rollercoaster Park in the World 13 times in a ROW!!! Oh, I’ve also been messing with different themes for the site so if it changes…deal with it haha!

Google Squared. How it can help you.

by Mike Guindon on Jun.04, 2009, under Tools

So if you haven’t used or even know about Google Labs Squared, I’ll give you a run down. Basically it takes what ever you search for and gives you the results in spreadsheet form. So this is how I can envision using this to an AM’s (affiliate marketer) advantage.

Lets say you have an Eharmony campaign running but you want to do direct local targeting to each major city for your campaigns. Ex. “Detroit Dating”, “Chicago Dating”, etc. That way the keyword is targeted to that local area. So instead of you having to come up with every major US city, you just use Google Squared to give you a list of all those cities.

You do a search for Major US Cities. You get it to give you a full listing of all the major cities. You close the other “cells” that are useless data to you only leaving the cities names. Now you can copy/paste into Excel, Google Spreadsheets, etc. giving you a full list of keywords. Then you can suck that info into your campaigns or build new ones (this is where I would suggest something like SpeedPPC so you don’t spend literally all day building 100′s of campaigns by hand).

According to Cnet, US social network usage is up 83% from last year! Facebook alone saw 13.9 BILLION…yes I said BILLION, minutes of usage in April! If you’re not using social networks I suggest you get off your lazy @$$ and start advertising on them right now!

Tracking Tidbits

by Mike Guindon on Jun.04, 2009, under General

Ok today I think its important to talk about tracking your campaigns/keywords, for one BIG reason. YOU WILL GET NOWHERE WITHOUT IT!!! So then what do you use to track your campaigns/keywords? Well use what I use, Tracking202.com. They actually have three different versions. 1 paid, 1 free hosted by them at Tracking202.com, and 1 free that you host on your own domain called Prosper202. I personally use Prosper202 because I’m a freak about keeping my info private and I like to have full control over all my data (especially for backups!). But you can use any version you want, they all do the same thing in the end….TRACK! I’ll be putting up some posts soon with way more detail in them about what to track and how to do it using Prosper202, but for now, it’s off to bed.
